ABOUT US
Our semester long Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding classes accommodate students of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced potters. Students are allowed to advance at their own pace with instruction tailored to the needs of the individual.
Each class session will cover the basics of pottery including wheel throwing, handbuilding, and glaze application. Additional material taught will vary by semester, but can include secret tricks to creating more successful pieces, hands-on exploration of clay, glaze, and surface design, opportunities to participate in specialty firings, and much more!
Included with your class fee is access to community tools, glazes, worktables, pottery wheels, slab rollers, clay extruders, and a glaze spray booth. Your class fee also includes the firing of all pieces created in class. Each student will be given their own shelf space for storage of clay, tools, and pieces. Students need only to buy their clay and bring an apron, a towel (this does get messy), and any additional tools desired. Clay and tools can all be purchased from Marjon's before or during class.

| Open studio is available only to
students enrolled in the current Wheel Throwing &
Handbuilding session. REGISTRATION To register for any of the above classes, please call Marjon Ceramics Phoenix: 602-272-6585 CLASS CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY We will make every effort to fill all the classes that are scheduled, but if minimum registration is not met, the class will be cancelled. Participants will be notified by phone or email if the class is cancelled. If you are unable to attend a class you have registered for, please give at least two weeks notice in order to receive a full refund.
